In the late 1800’s., the MDC evicted residents and razed schools, churches and mills to make way for a 65 billion gallon reservoir.  

The Old Stone Baptist Church, built in 1892, was recently resorted and is all that remains of the old town center.  This town enjoys the best of two worlds, non-urban environment and minutes from the city of Worcester.
